FO: Illustrated, Illuminated, and Calligraphed Poem

A friend of mine had mentioned that she would love to have a calligraphed manuscript-esque picture of the Rose Poem from a Sherlock Holmes novel. Since I've been on the lookout for new projects of all sorts, I offered to take on this project for her.

I drew up mock-ups of the manuscript, the rose image, and the lettering to see how it would flow together and to make sure all my proportions were okay. I finally got a fresh sheet of paper, grabbed my ink pots and pen nibs, and got to work.

LH received the poem last week and was quite excited. (I was so pleased!!) Here is the finished result:

 Now I need to work on some other calligraphy projects, including one for my mom.
